Astrological Services
Astrology has been used since ancient times to help understand the nature of the problems a person is faced with. It can point to underlying causes of physical ailments or ongoing challenges that are repeated over and over. It can provide insight and awareness in to certain timings connected with a person's health and well-being.
Shamanic Astrology connects a person with the cosmos: "As above, so below. As within, so without." As we gain an understanding of the whole arena that we live in we gain insight into ourselves. It is now, at the "turning of the ages" that we can begin to once more avail ourselves of all that the past as well as the present has to offer us in the way of knowledge so that we may be guided back to our rightful heritage of good health and well being.
Gael offers astrological consultations, classes and night sky talks in order to facilitate this understanding.
Astrology Readings are mostly done in person but can be done over the phone. First time readings covering the natal chart and current transits take about an hour to an hour and a half. The charge is $100 which includes a copy of your natal chart. Taping may be done for an additional $10 (includes mailing). You may want to ask about another person’s chart within that time. There will be a fee of $10 for each additional person’s chart you wish to consider. Any subsequent time and further readings are billed at $60 per hour. If readings are to be done over the phone payment will be expected beforehand. Sometimes payment may be taken in trade if suitable arrangements can be made.

Gael's Astro Biography
In picking my first book on astrology off the shelf in 1969, Dane Rudyar’s The Astrology of Personality, I was awoken to this language of symbols, a particular lens through which I view myself and all the world about me. This language was at once so familiar I couldn’t help but think I must have used it in one or many previous lives. However, it was the experience of living the language, of immersing myself in it, that has taught me it’s meaning. The symbols have come alive for me through direct experience – seeing what happens as planetary transits impact my chart as well as those close to me and those for whom I’ve done readings over the years, as well as the interaction between people who act as triggers for each other’s planetary placements.
Having been a theatre major in college, astro-drama appealed to me. In astro-drama we play the role of the planets in people’s charts using costumes when possible. In 1986, shortly after I returned to my family home south of Tucson, I joined the Tucson Astrologer’s Guild and became one of the Astro-players, a group formed out of members who enjoyed the improvisational acting in astro-drama and even performed a few written scripts for community cable programming and UAC, based on astrology.
What fun that was and what a great way to experience astrology! Although I don’t have the opportunity to engage in it very often at present I still enjoy astro-drama and being an active member of the Tucson Astrologers’ Guild (currently serving on the steering circle).
There have been many teachers that I have learned from over the years as well as my peers. Having a language in common brings us into contact with others who share this language. This thread led me at last to Daniel Giamario, a man with a chart very much like mine, born only four days before me, who had embarked on his own visioning of astrology. The way he incorporated the experience of the night sky particularly spoke to me, perhaps reminding my unconscious self of those lifetimes of ritual and ceremony under the night sky and at the yearly turning points, of sunrises and sunsets devoted to the equinoxes and solstices. The mystery and magic of life speaks through this connection of earth and sky. To become more self aware cannot help but include the awareness of our greater self, embodied in this connection.
I love to watch the unfolding scenarios night after night as the planets transit through the zodiacal constellations, to see the contact they have with regal stars; the metering of energy marked by the moon. Sharing this with others has become part of my path and since 1998 I have taught many night sky classes in the community near me.
Daniel’s approach to working with a person’s chart spoke to me as well and I was the third person to officially become certified as a Shamanic Astrologer under Daniel’s mentoring process. To see ourselves as part of an ongoing process of growth and evolution rather than a fixed and fated life is what I see as Shamanic Astrology. To experience this life without all the cultural judgments and become more alive to our authentic selves is the purpose of Shamanic Astrology with which I feel aligned.
One other piece of my experiential process has been the ongoing practice of the Twelve Steps over the last 15 years. The wisdom I have gained from this practice has allowed me to overcome the separation and dis-ease with which I felt plagued in my earlier years. I bring this experience to the reading as well. Come join me in weaving the thread through past, present and future with the help of the planetary cycles, finding yourself on the ever evolving spiral of spirit, becoming aware of the planetary dance you are the embodiment of. Heal the spirit that has felt lost and overwhelmed. Love the person you have been and are becoming.
